Whittier College Rising Poets Spring Clinic is an opportunity for high school student-athletes to be coached by the only NCAA staff in Southern California. Whittier's staff has over 30 years of coaching and playing experience in NCAA DI, DIII,the MLL, NLL, and internationally as well. This clinic gives 3 hours of direct instruction and lacrosse play, then moves on into an informational session about NCAA recruiting, maximizing your college search, and the student-athlete experience.

The Southland Shootout is an opportunity for individuals as well as local club and high school teams to compete and gain high quality instruction from NCAA coaches. Participants will have the opportunity to sign up as an individual or as a part of a team.This is a developmentally focused tournament with two fields,16 teams, and more instruction than your typical playoff format competition.You are guaranteed 5 games with the possibility of 7, and an instructional session prior to the event.
Former Poet and Men’s Lacrosse Alumni Matt Hernandez ’16 was just selected to the Mexican National Team. He earns a spot on the Mexico Lacrosse Roster for the 2018 FIL World Championships in Israel next Summer, where he will represent both the country of his heritage but also the city of Los Angeles, Calif.
Former Whittier College Men’s Lacrosse players Max Kaufman ’16 and Seth Mahler ’10 were selected to the Israeli Lacrosse men’s national team which will compete on home soil at the 2018 FIL World Lacrosse Championships.
Head Coach Nick Marks has announced the Poet’s schedule for the upcoming 2018 men’s lacrosse season. The exciting sixteen game slate will be the 39th season for the Poets and includes contests in California, Illinois, Colorado, and Texas. The Poets schedule will include four games against opponents that competed in the 2017 NCAA Division III men’s lacrosse tournament, six home games in Memorial Stadium, and the annual Locker-Stabler Cup against western NCAA rival Colorado College.
On November 4th, the Whittier College Men’s Lacrosse team volunteered their time to help with a Harlem Lacrosse Play Day. Harlem Lacrosse is an organization devoted to helping children of South Los Angeles, Compton, and Inglewood. The Whittier Poets spent three hours coaching and building relationships with youth players at Enterprise Park in Los Angeles, CA.
The Whittier College Men’s Lacrosse head coach Nicholas Marks has announced that the team has elected four upperclassmen as team captains for the 2018 season. The Poet captains are seniors Kevin O’Donnell, Conner Sexton, Sigi Ocker, and Max Thiele.
