REDLANDS, Calif. – The Whittier College Men's Basketball team opens up Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play Wednesday night on the road as they look to snap their three game losing skid against the Bulldogs of the University of Redlands.

WC Coming into the Game

Whittier has lost three straight and are coming off an 0-2 trip to Colorado where they fell to Colorado College (101-82) and Johnson & Wales (99-87).  They are currently sitting at 1-5 with their lone win coming against Rhodes College (94-56). 

UR Coming into the Game

Redlands has played in three consecutive tournaments and are sitting at 5-2.  They went 2-0 at the Lee Fulmer Classic where they beat St. Katherine (80-77) and Pacific Union (78-64).  Prior to that they traveled to Nebraska to play in the Snyder Classic where they split beating Greenville (130-119) and falling to Nebraska Wesleyan (99-77).  Then to open the year they beat UC Santa Cruz (58-47) and Cal Maritime (76-58).

Whittier has owned the series with the Bulldogs over the past five years holding a 9-1 record.  Redlands earned their lone victory back in January 2014, which came inside of the Graham Athletic Center.
