Aisner dives into record books at Bulldog Dive Invite
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Whittier College's Tyler Aisner took to his first dive competition of the 2011-12 season at the Bulldog Dive Invite and came away with a 2nd place finish in the 1M, 3rd place honors in the 3M, and two Whittier College records.
Aisner competed in the 1M dive first and was put in the No. 9 slot and collected an overall score of 274.00 helping him finish 2nd behind Trevor Graifman from Cal Baptist who finished with a 306.90 score.
With this score, Aisner now takes over the No. 1 spot in the record books at Whittier College in the 1M dive as he surpasses George Wilson who previously held the record with a 255.65 in 1983.
In the second event of the day, Aisner took part in the 3M dive and finished 3rd with a score of 240.95 falling only to Graifman and James Stevick (Claremont-M-S), but still managed to break the 3M dive record at Whittier College surpassing Tony Kuhn who held the record with a 237.60 back in 1988.
Aisner now begins to prepare for his first SCIAC Competition against the Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer that will take place on Friday, December 2 beginning at 2pm.
