Head Track & Field coach Dave Hogan was inducted into the Valley Christian Coaches’ Hall of Fame Friday, November 2 capping off a spectacular coaching career at Valley Christian High School.

Track & Field Athletes recognized for All-American Achievements
At halftime of the Whittier College football game on Saturday three Track & Field athletes were recognized for their accomplishments on and off the field along with a team being recognized for their academic achievement as a whole.

Curbelo and Verduzco named Academic All-Americans
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released today the All-Academic team’s for both the men and women and Whittier College saw both Kevin Curbelo and Christine Verduzco achieve recognition.

Curbelo earns back-to-back All-American honors; Sialaris falls short in shot put and javelin
In Whittier College history no athlete has ever achieved two All-American honors, but sophomore Kevin Curbelo earned the first this afternoon as he finished 5th in the 400m to earn his second straight All-American recognition.

Curbelo earns spot in finals of 400m; Tillman misses cut by .01 in 100m
Sophomore Kevin Curbelo and junior Kimble Tillman debuted in their 2012 NCAA Div. III National Championships today but only Curbelo walked away with a chance to earn All-American honors for the second straight year as Tillman missed the cut in the 100m by a tenth of a second.

The Whittier College men’s and women’s track & field teams are set to make a deep run in the Div. III Track & Field Outdoor Championships set to begin tomorrow in Claremont, Calif. led by sophomore Kevin Curbelo, and juniors Kimble Tillman and Alyssa Sialaris.

The U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released the Div. III Track & Field Dual Meet Rankings this morning for both the men and women and Whittier College comes in at No. 35 for the men and No. 37 for the women.
