SCIAC Dual Meet No. 2 Preview (La Verne, Occidental, Redlands, Whittier)
TIME: Field Events – 9:30 shot put followed by Discus, 11:00 – Hammer, Long Jump, Pole Vault, 11:45 –
High Jump, Running Events – 12:00; the SCIAC meet schedule is listed below
ENTRIES: Entries are due by Thursday, March 22 at 12:00 pm. Email your entries to Dave Hogan (dhogan@whittier.edu) in Excel spreadsheet format. Entry marks must have been achieved in 2012 or the entry should be listed as no time or no mark. Include in the email which athlete you would like in your assigned lane in the lane races (100, 200, 400, 100/110H, 400H) and which three athletes in the 800: Try to list all possible entries.
COACHES MEETING: Coaches may enter or scratch athletes from events at a mandatory coaches' meeting at 10:45 on meet day. If necessary, heats and lanes will be revised following the meeting.
CHECK-IN: Athletes need to check in no later than 10 minutes prior to their event's scheduled time. Field event athletes check in at their event site. Running event athletes check in at the tent by the 110 Hurdles start (west end of home straightaway). Additions will be allowed up to 10 minutes prior to an event's scheduled time. Additions which would require adding an additional heat will be discouraged.
FACILITIES: 8 Lane Martin Polyurethene Track
HJ - PV - LJ - TJ runways are Polyurethene; SP - DT - HT - Brushed Concrete
3/8" spikes for the High Jump , Javelin approach is grass
WEIGH-INS: Implement\ weigh-ins will take place in front of the gym at their usual location starting at 8:00
NOTES: There will be one van to move throwers to and from the top field for the hammer and javelin competition.
It is suggested for each team to have some support in getting this done.
TIMING: Finishlynx System.
RESULTS: Printed results will be available at the conclusion of the meet.
