Brzezinski wraps up freshman year breaking into the Top 10 list in the Heptathlon
CLAREMONT, Calif. – Whittier College freshman Mary Brzezinski wrapped up her freshman year by breaking into the Whittier College Top 10 list in the Heptathlon with a score of 2578.
Brzezinski now comes in at No. 9 in the heptathlon with a score of 2578. This was Brzezinski's first ever heptathlon and she trained for just seven weeks. That lack of training showed in the high jump as she didn't mark, but continued to fight finishing 10th while PRing in the 100H with an 18.13, shot put with a throw of 23' 11", javelin with a 59' 0", and in the 800 with a time of 2:57.30.
Brzezinski expects to see improvements in every event next year and has enjoyed the experience and the growth she saw in herself from this competition.
