Whittier remains at No. 2 in CWPA Div. III Polls

WHITTIER, Calif. – The Collegiate Water Polo Coaches Association (CWPA) Polls were released for the fourth week and the Whittier College Women's Water Polo team remains at No. 2 in the Division III polls.

Whittier comes in at No. 2 in the Division III Polls with 92 Points and trails only to Pomona-Pitzer (100 Points).  Cal Lutheran University comes in at No. 3 (91 Points) and Claremont-M-S (80 Points) and Chapman University (79 Points) round out the Top 5.

La Verne sits just outside the top five with 75 points and Uni. of Redlands (70 Points), Occidental College (43 Points), Macalester College (38 Points), and Washington & Jefferson (33 Points) round out the Top 10.

Teams receiving votes include Connecticut College (28 Points), Caltech (23 Points), Carthage College (23 Points), and Monmouth College (11 Points).

Whittier opens up Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play on Wednesday, February 28 when they host Pomona-Pitzer beginning at 7:00pm.
