Women’s Cross Country Team nominated for All-Academic Award
Whittier’s 15-member women’s cross country team has been nominated as a United States All-Academic Team. The Lady Poets achieved a 3.312 cumulative team GPA at the conclusion of the Fall 2012 academic semester, as determined by the US Cross Country Coaches Association.

Christine Verduzco finishes Cross Country Career as one of the Nation’s Best
Christine Verduzco competed among 56 individual qualifiers, and 224 team representatives at the NCAA DIII Cross Country National Championships, Terre Haute, Indiana, on Saturday, November 17.

USTFCCCA Announces Cross Country Pre-Season Rankings; Poets come in at No. 8
The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced this morning their cross country western region preseason rankings for men and women and Whittier College came in at No. 8 in both polls to start off the 2012-13 year.

Whittier releases 2012 cross country schedule
The Whittier College cross country team will participate in three invitationals and complete their regular season with the SCIAC multi-dual meet and SCIAC Championships as head coach Greg Phillips officially released the Poets' 2012 season schedule.
