Whittier College lost 3-0 (30-14, 30-12, 30-17) to the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference second place team, California Lutheran University, at home on October 10.  The Poets (3-12, 2-6 SCIAC) are currently in sixth place in the conference, while the Cal Lutheran (12-3, 8-1 SCIAC) remain in second place.

Jennifer Salas '10 led the Poets' defense with 17 digs.  Bibi Gonzales '08 finished with 11 digs and four kills.  Danell Booher '09 also had four kills to go along with seven digs.  Cal Lutheran held a 41-17 advantage in kills in the match.
