and Bibi Gonzales '08 each finished with nine kills, but Whittier College lost 3-0 (30-23, 30-22, 30-20) to Chapman University in non-conference play on October 12.  The Poets' record is now 3-13 while Chapman improved to 11-7.

Madgaleno also finished with two solo blocks and one service ace.  Danell Booher '09 had six kills, three service aces and nine digs for the Poets.  Jennifer Salas '10 led the Poets with 12 digs and Christa Rainville '08 was credited with 25 assists and eight digs.
