Whittier College lost 3-0 (30-19, 30-15, 30-20) to nationally ranked no. 3 University of La Verne in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on October 21.  The Poets fall to 3-15 overall and 2-10 in the SCIAC, while La Verne improves to 25-1 overall and 11-0 in conference play.

Bibi Gonzales '08 led the Poets offensively with seven kills and added nine digs.  Jennifer Salas '10 finished with a team-high 15 digs, and Jessica Schlegel '08 added 12 digs.
