Whittier College lost to Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, 3-0 (30-26, 30-16, 30-12) on October 3.  The Poets fall to 2-10 overall and 2-4 in SCIAC play, while Pomona improves their record to 7-6 overall and 3-3 in the SCIAC.

Danell Booher '09 led the Poets' defense, recording a season-high 18 digs.  Bibi Gonzales '08 finished with 13 digs and a team-high nine kills.  Cassidy Lake '08 and Lisset Madgaleno '10 had six and five kills, respectively.  Jennifer Salas '10 had 12 digs and Christa Rainville '08 had nine digs to go along with 18 assists.
