Whittier College lost in straight games to Chapman University (30-12, 30-20, 30-10) on September 13 in Orange, Calif.  Chapman held a 46-17 advantage in kills and an 11-0 advantage in service aces.  The Poets are now 0-5 while Chapman improves their record to 4-3. 

Jessica Schlegel '08 led the team defensively with 11 digs.  Christa Rainville '08 finished with 9 digs and added eight assists and three kills.    Cassidy Lake '08 had a team-high five kills.
