Whittier College was unable to muster a single shot on goal in
their 6-0 loss to Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference opponent, Cal Lutheran University on September 20.
The Poets (2-3, 0-2 SCIAC) were out shot in the contest 20-2 by the
Kingsmen (3-2, 2-0 SCIAC).
Cody Sowa '10 made four saves in the game before
leaving in the second half with an injury. Cal Lutheran got
the scoring started in the 15th minute. The score was 2-0 at
halftime. They scored their third goal less than three
minutes into the second half and finished with three goals in the
final four minutes of the game.
The Poets' next game is at home on Saturday, September 23 against
SCIAC opponent Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at 11am.
