Whittier College lost 3-0 (30-14, 30-15, 30-12) to nationally ranked #3 University of La Verne at Frantz Court on September 29.  The Poets fall to 1-9 this season and 1-3 in conference play.  La Verne remains undefeated at 14-0, 4-0 in the SCIAC.

Jennifer Salas '10 led the Poets defense with 15 digs.  Lisset Madgaleno '10 and Megan Wingo '08 each had four kills.  Christa Rainville '08 finished with ten assists.
