REDLANDS, Calif. – The Whittier College
volleyball team dropped its 12th consecutive match on Saturday
afternoon, 3-0, to the University of Redlands at Currier Gym.
The Poets lost 25-20, 25-19, 25-15 to the Bulldogs.
Ashley Terich led the Poets with 16 assists and
five digs while freshmen Lindsey Kish and
Lauren Whiteman had seven and five kills each,
respectively.
Kish had a match-high 20 digs.
The Poets had eight players record at least one of the
team's 28 kills. Shannon Orlins chipped in
with six while Alayna Rigo and Nicole Boyer each had three.
Alyssa Acosta recorded 13 digs while Orlins had
four block assists.
As a team the Poets finished with 4.0 team blocks and an
attacking percentage of .017.
WC returns to action on Tuesday evening as it hosts Caltech at
7:30 pm.
