LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Whittier College men's water polo team returned to action Saturday morning as they took on USC in a non-conference match-up but the Poets were only able to tally two goals in a 23-2 defeat.
WC added their two goals in the second and third quarters. The first came from Nicolas Beavers (Long Beach, Calif.) when the Poets trailed 11-0 before Wedge Molthen (Buena Park, Calif.) added the second with 35 seconds remaining in the third moving the score to 15-2.
Whittier shakes off the loss as they return to the Lillian Slade Aquatic Center tomorrow, Sunday, September 29 when they host Princeton and Claremont-M-S at 1:00pm and 4:00pm.
