CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Whittier College Men's Water Polo team saw their offense stall Saturday morning in a 10-3 loss to No. 16 Pomona-Pitzer.

Whittier drops to 12-10, 1-1 SCIAC and look to bounce back this Wednesday, October 26 when they host Cal Lutheran University beginning at 4:00pm.

The Purple & Gold attempted to spoil senior day but couldn't get their offense going in the second half as they were shutout three of the four quarters.

The three goals for the Poets came in the second frame with two coming from Massimiliano Mirarchi (Rome, Italy) and the other from Mihailo Vuja (Belgrade, Serbia).

Whittier trailed 5-3 at the break but couldn't get anything going in the second half as PP would add five en route to the home victory.

Freshman Murat Ersoz (Istanbul, Turkey) got the start in goal and finished with 11 saves between the posts.
