MONTECITO, Calif. – The Whittier College Men's Track & Field team prepped for their upcoming SCIAC No. 2 Dual Meet this past weekend as they took part in the Westmont Collegiate Classic.

Julian Sandoval (El Monte, Calif.) once again shined in the distance going 3:59.31 in the 1500 Meter that moves him to 5^th in the SCIAC.  He was joined in the event by William Howells (Webster Grove, MO) who posted a 4:00.36 that moved him to 6^th all-time on the unconverted 1500m list.  Sandoval then returned in the 800 Meter run and crushed it by taking 3^rd overall with a 1:57.67.       

Ray Ray Roberson (Albuquerque, NM) ran an impressive 49.94 to move him into 4^th in the SCIAC currently, while his 6'0.75" high jump puts him 6^th in the SCIAC.

Andrew Jimenez's (Tehachapi, Calif.) 44' 10.25" shot put moves him to 4th in the SCIAC as he led the throwers.   He also went 7^th in the Hammer (34.13).  Other strong performers included Craig Rogers (Whittier, Calif.) in the 110 Hurdles who took 8^th with a time of 16.88.  Joshua Minnie (Oceanside, Calif.) and Howells took 8^th and 9^th in the 800 Meter and Roberson returned in the 200 Meter to finish 5^th with a 22.78.

In the jumps, Tomo Pollard (La Jolla, Calif.) took 6^th in the Triple with a mark of 11.97 and Roberson went 6^th in the High with a 1.85m.    

Whittier travels to Occidental College this Saturday, April 1 as they take part in SCIAC No. 2.
