Rochester now led 13-5. Abe Bullard was able scratch 2 more across for the Poets, driving a 2-run shot over the left field wall. The fight ended there however, as the Yellow Jackets would be the Poets 13-7.
Game 2:

In the third the Yellow Jackets struck back with a run, but that punch woke the Poets bats up. Whittier answered back scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the third. These runs were earned by 9 hits in the inning for the Poets, including 2 doubles from Cam Gray.
The men continued to extend their lead, but Rochester would not go away scoring 4 in the fifth, 3 in the sixth, and 2 in the seventh. Whittier though wanted this game more and responded to each blow with runs of their own. The fifth saw 4 more runs for the Poets, followed by 2 in the eighth.
