WHITTIER, Calif. (Nov. 13, 2025) – The Whittier College Athletic Department is proud to announce the remodeling of a brand-new weight room. The project is being designed and installed in partnership with Samson Professional Weight Room Solutions, a national leader in custom athletic performance facilities.
The new space will significantly elevate training opportunities for Whittier College student-athletes, featuring upgraded strength and conditioning equipment, expanded functional-training zones, and a layout tailored to the needs of a modern collegiate program in any division. The renovation represents a major investment in student-athlete development and supports Whittier's long-term vision for competitive growth.

Head Coach Cory White said. "This is a game changer for Whittier College football and will only contribute to what we believe can be a championship culture -- one built on hard work, development, and belief in our student-athletes. This weight room will serve to benefit not only our program, but the entire department at large."
It was officially announced that football would be returning to Whittier College on Oct. 25, 2024, marking the resumption of a 115-year tradition. To make it so, the Whittier College alumni and boosters raised over $800,000 in startup costs, and an additional $500,000 that has gone specifically towards the reimagined weight room.
