WHITTIER, Calif. (Apr. 5, 2025) – Led by another multi-goal performance from star senior
Juliana Hodgson (Fullerton, Calif. / Sunny Hills), the Whittier College women's lacrosse team scored six goals against SCIAC foe California Lutheran University on Saturday afternoon.
Hodgson picked up her first hat trick of the season in a game in which the Poets scored more goals than they have in any game since March 2024. The senior attacker was not the only Whittier player to find the back of the net, however.
Idaly Serrato,
Ebelise Osorto (New Orleans, La.) and
Zion Santos (Eastvale, Calif. / Eleanor Roosevelt) all found the back of the net. Sophomore goalie
Peyton Vannatter (Riverside, Calif. / Martin Luther King) also had one of the best games of her career, stopping 12 shots over the full 60 minutes in net.
Head Coach
Leslie Escobar and the Poets will travel to powerhouse Pomona-Pitzer Colleges on Wednesday, Apr. 9.
