Whittier Swim & Dive Makes Spring Team Scholar All-America

Both the men's and women's programs under Head Coach Michael Jafari made the list

GREENSBORO, N.C. (July 3, 2025) – The Whittier College men's and women's swimming & diving teams have once again earned distinction as one of Spring Team Scholar All-America763 teams from 432 institutions to make Scholar All-America Teams for the Spring 2025 semester. These teams, comprising 18,459 student-athletes, were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements.

To qualify, teams needed to maintain a collective grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2025 semester. The Whittier women's team successfully put together a GPA of 3.79, putting them third among SCIAC schools, just 0.9 points behind the highest women's team GPA in Division III. That distinction went to both Colorado College and Vassar College.

The Whittier men made the list with a collective 3.30 GPA during the spring semester. With the roster set to increase by a significant margin ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, Head Coach Michael Jafari's Poets will be poised to continue meet this academic bar in the semesters to come.
