Prior to Whittier
Transferred from Texas A&M Texarkana. Previously transferred from the College of the Desert where he helped the Roadrunners win their first conference title in 51 years. Attended Shasta High School.

Made the honor roll multiple times at Texas A&M Texarkana.

Personal
Son of Paul and Hilary Young. Enjoys fishing with his dad back home and working on his Jeep. Lists Ichiro Suzuki and Randy Johnson as the athletes he admires most.
