Brad Keane was hired as the head strength and conditioning coach at Whittier in August 2021. He is in in charge of designing and implementing comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for all 22 of Whittier's NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletic teams. He is also responsible for supervising graduate assistants, interns, and work study students working with the strength and conditioning program and the daily operations of the George Allen Fitness Center.
Brad arrived at Whittier after spending two years as a graduate assistant and one year as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at The University of Louisiana-Monroe. At ULM, he was responsible for designing and implementing programs for indoor and beach volleyball, softball, tennis, golf, and cross country, as well as assisting with football.
Brad spent three years as a high school strength and conditioning coach in his hometown of Sioux City, Iowa. He also earned experience at the college level by completing internships with the football strength and conditioning programs at The University of Iowa and UCLA.
Brad earned bachelor's degrees in kinesiology and psychology from The University of South Dakota in 2014, and a master's degree in exercise science from The University of Louisiana-Monroe in 2020. He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA).Â
He and his wife, Molly, live in Brea, CA.
