Julian Barzilli returns to his alma mater serving as an assistant coach for the baseball program. Barzilli’s first year in purple and gold was the 2013 season where he finished with a .304 batting average, 8 home runs and 31 RBI. He also received 2nd Team All-SCIAC honors, D3baseball.com 3rd Team All West Region, and ABCA/Rawlings 3rd Team All West Region.
Barzilli’s allocates would continue pile the following season. In 2014, as a senior, Barzilli led all of NCAA Division III in home runs (17) and home runs per game (0.43). Barzilli finished with a .390 batting average, .851 slugging percentage, 1.342 OPS, and 55 RBI. As a team, Barzilli led the program to their first SCIAC Conference Tournament by placing as the 3rd seed. Individual allocates included:

In just 2 seasons with the purple and gold, Barzilli has hit a total of 25 home runs, placing him second on the all time career list. Barzilli compiled a total of 120 bases in his senior campaign, tying him for first in a single season record. Barzilli’s historic 2014 season set a new record for home runs in a single season (17) which also led all of NCAA DIII Baseball. Barzilli also has a younger brother who played baseball at Texas Christian University (TCU), Elliott, who was a member of the 2015-2017 teams that participated in the College World Series (CWS). Elliott Barzilli was selected in the 29th round of the 2016 MLB Amateur Draft by the Houston Astros and the following year 32nd round of the 2017 MLB Amateur Draft by the Miami Marlins. His parents are Ron and Lu Barzilli who currently reside in Los Angeles, California.
