Jabari Lewis joins Whittier College as the departments Director of Recreation and Wellness. Jabari provides management for the following areas: intramural sports, club sports, recreation and wellness.
Jabari joins the Poet Athletic Department after spending the last five years as the Fitness & Student Development Coordinator at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He oversaw facility operations and student development programs for the department of campus recreation at Lamar University. He also served as a graduate assistant for Intramural Sports and Sport Clubs. He is also a certified high school official in basketball and football.
Jabari is a native of SoCal graduating with a B.A. in Ethnic Studies and a minor in History from Sacramento State in 2015, and an M.S. in Kinesiology from Lamar University in 2017.
