Biography
Early Life Athletics: Has loved the water from an early age, spending much of his time at the beach or in the swimming pool...Started swimming at a young age, with his parents entering him into LAC, a competitive swimming club where he swam year-round until age 13...at this point, Nick felt "burnt out" on swimming and decided to pursue lacrosse and water polo...in high school, he returned to swimming because he has "always enjoyed the sport and excels in competitive environments"
High School: Swam for Granada High School (Livermore, Calif.) of the Easy Bay Athletic League...also played water polo and lacrosse for his high school
Why Whittier College?: Because it's a small college in L.A. and I admired the coach and surrounding environment
Collegiate Swimming Accomplishments: Named Whittier College men's swimming and diving Rooke of the Year (2022)...ranks second all-time in program history in the 100-Yard Freestyle (:46.12 in 2022) and fifth in the 50-Yard Freestyle (:21.06)
Athlete I Admire: Olympic gold medalist swimmer Cesar Cielo, because he inspires me to push myself as the fastest 50-Meter Freestyler
Training: Trained six days a week during the COVID-19 pandemic
Hobbies: Surfing; hiking
