Biography

Daniel Totev is a men’s water polo student-athlete from Varna, Bulgaria. A first-year student wearing No. 8, Totev is pursuing a degree in International Business. He attended Prof. Asen Zlatarov before coming to Whittier. Totev brings an accomplished international water polo background, including three consecutive men’s championships, recognition as a league MVP, and being a top scorer during the 2024–25 season. He also competed in Bulgarian championship competition and earned a third-place finish at the European Championship Division II level. Totev admires Dušan Mandic and chose Whittier because he believes the college provides opportunities for him to continue developing.
