Reyes closed a career year at Whittier in 2021 as the Poets' second-leading goal-scorer. Reyes' 62 tallies put him third among SCIAC players this season, leading the Poets to nine SCIAC games and a fourth seed in the year's SCIAC Postseason Tournament. The dynamic goal scorer had some of his biggest games of the season down the stretch, scoring four times to lead a high-scoring victory over La Verne, while his five points propelled Whittier over Chapman in the home opener.
For his efforts, Reyes joined Borunda as Whittier's two First-Team All-SCIAC selections for the 2021 season, thus enabling the Poets to continue their streak of having appeared in every SCIAC Postseason Tournament since the format switched to four teams in 2018. He returned to Whittier in 2022 as a fifth-year senior, and was again named SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week Oct. 3, 2022, after the attacker from Commerce scored 18 goals, dished five assists and recorded eight steals over five matches this week, leading Whittier to a 4-1 record. Impressively, Reyes scored 10 goals in the two Saturday games and 17 total in the Poets' four games at the Gary Troyer Tournament that weekend.
