2019 CWPA Week No. 4 Polls

WHITTIER, Calif. – The Collegiate Water Polo Coaches Association (CWPA) released their National Polls Wednesday in the fourth week of voting.

After a couple of weeks of sitting outside the Varsity Polls the Purple & Gold have made a jump into the National Rankings coming in at No. 20.  They also jump Pomona-Pitzer in the Division III polls into the No. 1 slot for the first time this season.  In the Varsity Polls they received 11 points jumping ahead of Fordham University, San Jose State, Brown University, and Air Force who all received votes.  Then in Division III they collected 99 points surpassing the Sagehens who had 94 points. 

Rounding out the Top 5 in the Division III Polls include Claremont-M-S (No. 3 – 91 Points), MIT (No. 4 – 81 Points), and Chapman (No. 5 – 80 Points).  Redlands comes in at No. 6 (77 Points), Cal Lutheran at No. 7 (71 Points), Johns Hopkins at No. 8 (64 Points), La Verne at No. 9 (48 Points), and Occidental College wrapping up the Top 10 with 35 Points.     

Whittier resumes conference action tonight, Wednesday, October 2 as they host Claremont-M-S beginning at 7:00pm.
