Biography

Dyan Acevedo is in her fourth season as a member of thePoets softball team. She was born in Glendale, CA, but spent mosther childhood in Whittier, CA. She started playing softball whenshe was eight because all of her friends were playing and theyasked her to join. She went to play for Pioneer High School whereshe was named MVP ('03,'04, & '05), as well as being named theteam rookie of the year in '02.  She made first-team allleague in '03, '04, & '05, as well as being honored as ascholar athlete in '03. She is majoring in Kinesiology withthe hopes of becoming a Physical Education Teacher and credits hersuccess in softball to her parents and sister.
