Biography

Nicole Acevedo is in her fourth season as a member ofthe Poets softball team. She was born in Glendale, CA, but spentmost her childhood in Whittier, CA. She started playing softballwhen she was nine because all of her friends were playingand they asked her to join. She went to play for Pioneer HighSchool where she was named Rookie of the Year, 2nd-TeamAll-Conference ('03,'04'05), and named defensive player of the yearin the conference her senior year.  She then went on to playat Rio Hondo College where she was named to the 2nd-TeamAll-Conference Team.  She is majoring in Kinesiology with thehopes of becoming a Physical Education Teacher and credits hersuccess in softball to her parents and family.
