Vicky Ovieda is in her fourth season as a member of thePoets softball team. She was born in Montebello, CA but spentmost her childhood in Hacienda Heights, CA. She started playingsoftball when she was seven because her parentsput her into a softball league (HHYS).  She went toplay for Sonora High School where achieved 1st-TeamAll-Conference, Top Freshman Honors, Player of the Year, DefensivePlayer of the Year, as well as being on a softball squad whowon the Conference Title 4 years in a row.  She is majoringin Psychology as well as minoring in ChildDevelopment with the hopes of becoming a FamilyCounselor and credits her success in softball to hercoaches who have helped her over the years, and to her parents whohave supported her through all of her softball endeavors.
