Lizzie Scriven

Lizzie Scriven is entering her second season coaching at Whittier College in 2025-26.

She was instrumental in the Poets success on and off the court this past season which included a SCIAC Regular Season Championship and was honored as “Coaching Staff of the Year” by SCIAC Coaches.

Lizzie graduated from Whittier College in 2023 with a Bachelor or Arts in Social Work. During her time at Whittier College, she played four years of collegiate basketball serving as Team Captain during the 2023-24 season. One of the highlights of her playing career, was winning the SCIAC Tournament Championship in 2022-23 and playing in the NCAA Tournament.

After Graduation, Lizzie worked at Pacific Clinics as a Social Worker. Working in Social Work gave her the opportunity to support individuals and families through meaningful community-based services.

Lizzie is passionate about making a difference both on the court and in the community. She looks forward to continuing to grow in both areas. Lizzie was selected as a Women’s Sports Foundation VanDerveer Fellow for the 2025-26 school year.

"She was crucial to our success last season and we are very fortunate to have her apart of our coaching staff this season. Coach Lizzie is a Whittier College grad who knows the college very well. She is a great role model for our young women, has a great heart to serve our players, and brings positive energy every day.”
