Malik Campbell joined the Whittier College Athletics staff in 2025 and currently oversees strength and conditioning for all 20 NCAA varsity sports. Prior to arriving at Whittier, Campbell served as the Head Baseball Strength and Conditioning Coach at Long Beach during the 2024–25 academic year. In the fall of 2024, he also spent time at the University of La Verne, where he served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the football and track & field programs.
From 2021–24, Campbell was a member of the strength and conditioning staff at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota. During his first two years, he served as the Interim Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Graduate Assistant. In that role, Campbell led strength and conditioning efforts for baseball, softball, men's and women's soccer, wrestling, track & field, cross country, and men's and women's golf, while also assisting with the football program.
In his final year at Dakota Wesleyan, Campbell served as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, working primarily with baseball, softball, men's and women's soccer, men's wrestling, and track & field. Campbell also gained valuable experience through internships with Oregon State University football and Linfield College, further developing his knowledge and experience in collegiate strength and conditioning. A 2020 graduate of Linfield College, Campbell earned his bachelor's degree in Physical Activity and Fitness Studies. He later earned his master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Athletic and Activities Administration from Dakota Wesleyan University. Campbell has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 2022.
