High School Athletic Achievements: As a water polo player at Newbury Park High School of the Marmonte League, Emily collected many awards and experienced team success: CIF playoff appearances (three years), Rookie of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, Most Valuable Player, Team Captain (two years).

Collegiate Academic Achievements: Dean's List recipient

Two-Sport Athlete: Emily also is an attacker on the women's water polo team, for whom she wears No. 16. She was a member of the Division III runner-up team.

Why did you choose Whittier College?: Location and athletics as well as a high academic rigor

Hobbies: Backpacking; Reading; Taking care of plants

Athlete I Admire: Olympic gold medalist swimmer Caeleb Dressel, because he is a strong advocate for discussing the mental health of athletes
