2019 Women's Soccer All-SCIAC Teams

WHITTIER, Calif. – For the second straight year sophomore Vanessa Martinez (La Mirada, Calif.) has found herself on an All-SCIAC team being named to the 2nd Team announced by the conference office Thursday.

Martinez was one of three goalies selected to the All-SCIAC teams and was recognized on the 2nd Team for the second straight year being the only Poet recognized for post-season accolades back to back years.

Once again she proved to be one of the top goalies in the conference playing in nine conference games totaling 822:17 minutes with a 1.20 goals against average.  She totaled 77 saves with an .875 save percentage and finished with a 2-3-3 record and a shutout.  In the SCIAC rankings she was No. 2 in saves, No. 3 in save percentage and No. 7 in goals against average.    

Whittier finished 2019 with a 3-8-5, 3-6-3 SCIAC record and a 6th place finish in the final SCIAC Standings.
