WHITTIER, Calif. – The 2019 All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Women's Tennis honors were announced this week following a vote conducted by the league's member head coaches.
Senior Kindall Yeung (Brea, Calif.) received accolades for the first time in her career landing on the 2nd Team.
Yeung played No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles with partner Amanda Rodriguez (Glendora, Calif.). She posted a 7-16 overall record in singles, going 5-7 at home and a 2-5 record within SCIAC, which included wins against Occidental College (Weera Wright) and Cal Lutheran University (Lilijana Semak).
In doubles she was 11-13 at the top spot with a 7-6 record at home, while going 1-6 within conference play. With Rodriguez they took out Occidental College (Pelletier/Wright) for their lone win. Earlier in the season during the ITA West Regional they impressed beating Cal Lutheran (Foreman/Levanen) and Claremont-M-S (Martin/Bahsoun). Their top wins on the season came Trinity College (CT) and UC Santa Cruz.
Whittier finished the season 5-12, 1-6 SCIAC with their lone SCIAC victory coming against Occidental College.
