LOS ANGELES - Kady Oliker and Lauren Gelgur picked up their first Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win at No. 1 doubles on Saturday morning but it wasn't enough as Occidental ran the table in singles en route to the 8-1 win.

Oliker and Gelgur won a thrilling match at the top doubles spot, 9-8 (7-4).

The Poets (2-3, 1-3 SCIAC) were swept in straight sets in singles by the 10th ranked team in the West Region. Oliker lost 6-3, 6-1, at No. 1 singles, Gelgur went down 6-2, 6-1, at the second spot and Elizabeth Reitzell was forced to retire down 5-1 in the first set.

Rachel Aelion-Moss battled hard in the first set but lost 7-5 before she was beaten 6-1 in the second set.

Victoria Curtis played to a 6-3, 6-3, loss at No. 6 singles.

The Poets return to action next Saturday morning as they host Caltech at 9:30 am.
