WHITTIER, Calif. – In its final game before the coming weekend's Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship the Poets fell to 2-5 in conference play after an 8-1 loss to Cal Lutheran in the regular season finale on Sunday afternoon.

The Poets were swept through singles but got a solid outing of the No. 3 doubles team of Elizabeth Reitzell and Rachel Aelion-Moss.

The pair improved to 4-6 on the season and 3-4 in conference play. Reitzell and Aelion-Moss won 8-4.

Reitzell carried over her play in doubles with a nice effort at No. 5 singles. She went down in straight sets but earned four games in each set. Reitzell lost 6-4, 6-4.

Aelion-Moss also won four games in her first set at No. 4 singles but lost in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.

At No. 1 singles, Kady Oliker won four games in set one but lost 6-4, 6-0.
