CWPA Polls

WHITTIER, Calif. – The Whittier College women's water polo team jumped three spots in the latest Collegiate Water Polo Association Polls released this morning for Division III.

Whittier was ranked No. 7 in the polls in week 10 but has jumped three spots to No. 4 in the polls this morning, while riding a four game winning streak into this evening's showdown with Cal Lutheran.

The strength in the SCIAC shows as eight of the nine programs are ranked in the Top 10. Cal Lutheran tops the chart at No. 1, followed by Claremont M-S (No. 2) and Pomona-Pitzer (No. 3).  Then Redlands (No. 5), Occidental (No. 6), Chapman (No. 7), and La Verne (No. 8) round out the Top 10.

Other non-SCIAC opponents within the Top 10 include Grove City College (No. 9), and Washington & Jefferson (No. 10).

Whittier takes on Cal Lutheran this evening at the Lillian Slade Aquatic Center beginning at 5:00pm before hosting Occidental this Saturday, April 6 at 11:00am.
