WHITTIER, Calif. (Nov. 26, 2025) – Junior middle blocker
Mia D'Amato (Bakersfield, Calif. / Garces) established herself as one of the premier front-row players in the SCIAC this season, and for her efforts picked up AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) All-Region honors as well as an All-America Honorable Mention.
D'Amato was one of five SCIAC players to make All-Region 10 and one of five to pop up on the All-America List. She did it by raising her hitting percentage to .329, leading a Poets team that, for a second-consecutive season, finished third in the SCIAC regular season standings and for a third-consecutive year earned a SCIAC Postseason Tournament berth. At the net, the junior delivered with 19 solo blocks and 77 assisted, and she crossed over 200 kills for the first time in her career as an attacking force in the middle. D'Amato's versatility was also on full display as one of the Poets' top serving options, achieving 30 service aces for the first time in her career.
