Box Score ORANGE, Calif. (Sept. 27, 2025) – The Whittier College men's soccer team remained unbeaten on the season, grinding out a 0-0 draw against Chapman University on Saturday
morning in a SCIAC matchup at Holly & David Wilson Field.
The Poets created steady pressure in both halves, finishing with 12 shots and six on frame. Junior forward
Kevin Bravo (Paramount, Calif. / Paramount) and freshman forward
Nils Lindfors (Stockholm, Sweden / Christinagymnasiet) each tested the Panther keeper with multiple shots on goal, while freshman
Fabian Gluch (Oslo, Norway / Ullern videregående skole) came off the bench to spark the attack with two attempts, one on target.
Defensively, the Poets were once again difficult to break down. Goalkeeper
Jake Marks (London, England / Immanuel College / D'Youville University | Columbia College) recorded three saves to secure his third shutout of the season, backed by a veteran back line of
Connor Gilmore (Los Angeles, Calif. / University High / Santa Monica College) and
Ben Harrison (Salt Lake City, Utah / Olympus) in the middle.
The match turned increasingly physical in the second half, with seven yellow cards issued between the two sides in the final 45 minutes.
With the result, Whittier moves to 7-0-2 overall and 1-0-2 in SCIAC play. Head Coach
Shea Harwell and the Poets return home to Memorial Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 1, for a 7 p.m.
conference showdown against the University of La Verne.
