Whittier College was out shot 25-1 in their 5-0 loss to Chapman
University in a non-conference road game on October 23. The
Poets are now 0-15 while the Panthers improve their record to
11-5.
Lowhern Aceves '10 made 12 saves in goal for
the Poets. Chapman held a 10-0 advantage in corner
kicks. The scoring started in the 10th minute for
the Panthers. It was the only goal of the first
half. In the second, a penalty kick in the 50th minute gave
Chapman a 2-0 lead. Not until the 73rd minute did the Chapman
offense find their groove. They scored in the 73rd, 87th and
88th minutes, two of those on free kicks.
