Women's Soccer Loses to Chapman, Poets Take Just One Shot on Goal

Whittier College was out shot 25-1 in their 5-0 loss to Chapman University in a non-conference road game on October 23.  The Poets are now 0-15 while the Panthers improve their record to 11-5.

Lowhern Aceves '10 made 12 saves in goal for the Poets.  Chapman held a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks.  The scoring started in the 10th minute for the Panthers.  It was the only goal of the first half.  In the second, a penalty kick in the 50th minute gave Chapman a 2-0 lead.  Not until the 73rd minute did the Chapman offense find their groove.  They scored in the 73rd, 87th and 88th minutes, two of those on free kicks.
