Whittier College lost 2-0 to Occidental College in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest at Donald E. Graham Soccer Field on October 7.  The Poets (0-9, 0-7 SCIAC) lost to the Tigers (4-5, 3-3 SCIAC) 11-0 in their last meeting on September 13.

Lowhren Aceves '10 made eight saves in goal for Whittier.  The Poets were out shot in the contest, 19-3, and the Tigers held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.  Occidental started the scoring in the 16th minute when a corner kick found its way into the back of the net.  That was the only scoring in the game until the Tigers added their second and final goal in the 60th minute of the game.
