Whittier College lost 3-0 to La Sierra University in a
non-conference road game on October 9. It was the second time
the Poets (0-10) lost to La Sierra (4-6) this season. La
Sierra won by the same score on September 6.
Sarah Furman '07 tried to jump start the offense
by taking four shots off the bench. The Poets' 13 shots were
the most they've attempted this season. Whittier held a 7-5
edge in corner kicks.
Defensively, Lowhren Aceves '10 made five
saves in goal. She faced 23 La Sierra shots. The Golden
Eagles scored all three of their goals in the first half; scoring
in the 15th, 17th and 32nd minutes.
