Women's Shut Out by La Verne, Poets Still Scoreless this Season

The Whittier College women's soccer team lost their second SCIAC match-up, this time to the University of La Verne at home by a score of 6-0.  The Poets were out shot 23-3 and the Leopards held a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks.  The Poets are now 0-3, 0-2 in the SCIAC, while La Verne is 2-3, 2-0 in SCIAC play.

Kourtney Sexauer '08 got the start in goal and made 12 saves.  Eighteen of La Verne's 23 shots were on goal and they had twelve total shots in the first half alone.

Scoring started in the 12th minute for the Leopards.  They scored three in the first half.  They ended the scoring in the 65th minute and took home the 6-0 victory.
