THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The Whittier College women's soccer team dropped their seventh straight game Saturday afternoon as they fell 7-0 to Cal Lutheran. 

Whittier came into the game with just one sub forced to sit out starters Madison Shipherd (Whittier, Calif.), Kirsten Davis (Hilo, HI), Christina Locke (Westchester, Calif.), Ashley Stanford (Walnut, Calif.), and Sofia Garcia (Bonita, Calif.) due to injuries they suffered against Occidental last week. 

Head Coach Monica Gerardo is optimistic though that they will return next week prepared to matchup against Chapman and Redlands. 

The Poets were only able to get off one shot that came from Kaela Resifelt (Castaic, Calif.) and were blanked in corner kicks.  In goal Lorena Ruiz (Downey, Calif.) finished with five saves against 12 shots on goal.

Whittier returns to action next week when they host Chapman, on Wednesday, September 25 with game time set for 7:00pm.
