SALEM, Va. (Mar. 14, 2025) – Senior guard
Rhe Nae Leach of the Whittier College women's basketball team has been named as one of 20 NCAA Division III players to participate in the 2025 Women's Collegiate All-Star Game, presented by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
Leach stands out as the first Whittier player ever invited to compete in a postseason All-Star game. The All-Star game will take place on Saturday, Mar. 22 at 1 p.m. ET on the campus of Roanoke College. Poet fans, friends, and family will be able to watch Rhe Nae play in the game at this
link. While in Roanoke, Leach will have an opportunity to join her fellow Division III standouts in participating in community service activities and sightseeing in addition to being recognized in front of her peers during the NCAA Division III semifinal and national championship games.
The decorated senior athlete's inclusion in the third-annual women's all-star game is just the latest in a laundry list of achievements the talented guard has accrued during her senior season. Leach led the Poets to first place in the SCIAC regular season, marking the first time the Poets have ever finished the women's basketball regular season in sole possession of first place. For this and an incredible line of 21.7 points per game, 9.8 rebounds per game and 4.2 assists per game, Leach was recognized as not only a First Team All-SCIAC selection, but SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Year, making her the first player in conference history to win Offensive and Defensive yearly awards since the Athlete of the Year award was recently rebranded.
